JY: It is always good if you could recognize the path that you are going to take. If I were you, I will choose the path that I want and enjoy the route, rather than try hard and spending all the effort to look for the easiest path. Get the point?
Chechebee: If my answer/response/comments can really inspire you and sparkle your life. Should you buy me a round, then? This traffic light needs "fuel" and I take alcohol (cleaner for the environment) hehe ;)
Carrie and Snoopy: You can look at it this way:- While the two of you are still young, you have the flexibility to try out different things before you land on the perfect/ultimate career, that's a gift from the high above. At least you can tell yourself you've been to that "detour route" of your entire career life. Not that many people in the world have that opportunities. Things that you learn now will definitely help to build your career down the road. Plus, look at the successful people in the world, seldom of them have a smooth career path. Look at Lincoln....so, enjoy this winding road, and make some good footprints for you to treasure later.
we can know from the question what major it belongs, don't we?
